Overview
The Overview is your home page in Finaure. Here you can see at a glance how your total wealth is developing, how it is allocated, which positions are the largest and what has happened recently.
Use the Overview as your daily cockpit. A quick look in the morning is enough to spot changes, open tasks and new notifications.
What is the Overview?
The Overview brings together all the data you have recorded in Finaure, across all entities. There is nothing to create or maintain here: as soon as you add assets, bank accounts or documents, the Overview updates automatically.
You can reach it at any time via the first menu item, Overview, in the left-hand navigation.
The Overview is a view-only page. You change values in the respective areas, e.g. under Assets, Banking or Entities.

Step-by-step guide
- Sign in to Finaure. You are taken to the Overview automatically.
- If you are in another area, click Overview at the very top of the left-hand navigation.
- Take a look at the large Total net worth tile. Below it you can see by how many per cent and euros your wealth has changed.
- Check the three tiles Liquid assets, Assets and Liabilities to see where the change comes from.
- Scroll to Asset allocation to see how your gross assets are divided across the individual categories.
- Under Largest positions you will find your top 5, including the entity that owns each position.
- Under Recent activity you can see what was most recently changed or uploaded.
The percentage shown under Largest positions refers to your total net worth. This lets you spot concentration risks quickly.
- Go to the Total net worth tile.
- On the right, click one of the periods: 1M (1 month), 3M (3 months), YTD (year to date), 1Y (1 year) or Max (entire period).
- The change values in per cent and euros adjust immediately to the selected period.
The net worth amount stays the same; only the comparison value changes. If you had recorded very little data at the start of the period, very high percentages can result. This is not an error. In that case, use a shorter period such as 1M for a more meaningful picture of how your wealth has developed.
- Click Display in the header bar.
- Under Colour scheme, choose a variant: Client default, Monochrome, Classic Red, Royal Blue, Petrol Gold or Finaure.
- Under Font size, choose between Normal, Large and Extra large.
- The change is applied immediately. Click Display again to close the menu.
The Client default is the colour scheme set as the standard for your account. If you choose this option, you automatically follow that default.
- SmartUpload: Upload a document directly from the Overview. First choose what you want to upload (e.g. receipt, bank statement, rental agreement or photo of an item), then click Next.
- Refresh banks: Retrieves the data of your connected bank accounts again.
- Language: Use DE to switch the language of the interface.
- Tasks: The number next to the tasks symbol shows your open tasks. One click takes you straight to Tasks.
- Notifications: The bell opens What's New (new features and release notes) and your Inbox. Use Hide or Hide all to clear away entries you have read.
In SmartUpload, Next remains greyed out until you have selected a document type.

Frequently asked questions
Why does my net worth not change when I switch the period?
The period (1M, 3M, YTD, 1Y, Max) only controls the comparison. The amount shown is always your current position; only the change in per cent and euros is adjusted.
Why do I see an extremely high percentage change?
If you had recorded only a few values at the start of the selected period, the basis for comparison is very small. Every newly created asset then pushes the percentage up sharply. Choose a shorter period to see the actual change in value more clearly.
Can I edit values directly in the Overview?
No. The Overview only displays your data. You change values in the respective areas, e.g. under Assets, Banking or Entities. The Overview then updates automatically.
What does the percentage under “Largest positions” refer to?
To your total net worth. A value of 12.7% therefore means that this one position makes up 12.7% of your entire net worth.
What does the pencil symbol under “Recent activity” mean?
It marks entries that have been edited. Entries without a pencil are usually newly uploaded files, e.g. via SmartUpload.
Does my chosen colour scheme apply to all users?
No, the colour scheme under Display applies to your view. If you choose Client default, you follow the standard set for your account.
